Question

My baby has been diagnosed with pediatric cerebral palsy, but how could such a young child get this disease? I’m treating him as quickly as possible, but I want to know what causes this condition?

Answer

Cerebral palsy is caused by various direct and indirect causes of fetal or neonatal hypoxia due to damage to the central nervous system. The ways in which hypoxia occurs include: 1. Intrauterine hypoxia caused by polyhydramnios, also known as intrauterine distress; 2. Placental infection; 3. The fetus being delivered too quickly or too slowly. If the infant shows clinical symptoms such as crying out, poor mental state, and excessive sleepiness after birth, there is a high suspicion of brain damage in the newborn, which may also lead to cerebral palsy.
