Question

A friend’s child has unfortunately been diagnosed with Down Syndrome. How should such a child be treated?

Answer

Down Syndrome, also known as Trisomy 21, is a chromosomal abnormality disorder that often accompanies learning disabilities, intellectual development delays, and severe physical deformities. There is currently no method to resolve chromosomal abnormality issues. However, early pediatric care is crucial for the child’s growth. If the child has complex deformities, it is recommended to visit a regular rehabilitation center for an assessment to determine if they are suitable for rehabilitation therapy. With more training, some children may exhibit certain special talents.
