Question

My son was fine when he was three or four; he wasn’t particularly mischievous. But since last year, he’s always fighting with other children, and we can’t get him to listen to us. He always fidgets in class.

Answer

Children with ADHD may have various underlying causes. Generally, prenatal, postnatal, or postnatal mild brain damage is considered a significant factor, primarily related to brain trauma and intoxication. Some believe that urban environmental pollution and clinical symptoms of mild lead intoxication may also be contributing factors. Recent research studies comparing the children of family parents, foster parents, and other pediatric children have found that there are some mental illnesses, such as alcoholism and personality disorders, that are higher than the control group. Parents of ADHD children have more childhood histories, and the prevalence of the disorder among siblings is three times higher than in the control group.
