Question

What are the symptoms of ADHD?

Answer

Children with this condition have short attention spans and are easily distracted. They often cannot filter out irrelevant stimuli and react to various types of stimulation. Therefore, when children are listening to lessons, doing homework, or engaging in other activities, they usually find it hard to maintain their focus, which diverts their attention. They are often distracted by movements around them, glancing around, or picking things up; tasks often fail to sustain their attention. If one task is not done, they move on to another; they find it hard to complete tasks that require prolonged concentration; they often do not pay attention to details while working and frequently make mistakes due to carelessness; they usually avoid or are unwilling to meet the demands of tasks that require extended focus.
