Question

How are infant hemangiomas formed?

Answer

Many parents are very concerned about this issue, as many infants are born with this condition. This is because during the development of human embryos, especially in the early stages of vascular tissue differentiation, due to the occurrence of small-scale mislocations of control gene segments, abnormal tissue differentiation in specific areas develops into hemangiomas. In the early stages of embryogenesis (8 to 12 months), embryonic tissue may suffer mechanical damage, leading to regional tissue hemorrhage and some hematopoietic stem cells distributed to other embryonic characteristic cells. Some of these differentiate into vascular tissue, eventually forming hemangiomas.
