Question
A relative or friend’s child has been diagnosed with Hepatitis B with the triple therapy. How should this disease be treated?
Answer
It is important to avoid overexertion and to limit the intake of foods harmful to the liver. Stay hydrated, and consume plenty of fruits and vegetables. Take moderate amounts of vitamins B, C, and A, and try to reduce medication dosage. Overuse of medication may lead to liver damage, as drugs must be metabolized by the liver, which increases the risk of liver injury. During this process, no special treatment is needed; maintaining normal liver function is our goal.
