Question

What are the symptoms of congenital immune deficiency? Are there effective treatment methods for this kind of deficiency? Can it be completely cured?

Answer

Kawasaki disease is a condition diagnosed solely based on clinical presentation and the exclusion of other similar rash and fever diseases. The diagnostic criteria include: persistent fever for more than five days, ineffective with antibiotic treatment; appearance of polymorphic erythema rash; swelling of hands and feet, redness of palms and fingers (toes), peeling of fingers and toes; conjunctival congestion; red, cracked lips, bleeding, strawberry tongue; acute non-suppurative cervical lymphadenopathy. A diagnosis can be confirmed if all five criteria, including fever, are met. If suspected of having this disease, an EKG examination should be conducted, as Kawasaki disease may affect the heart, and only specific medications are effective. Please compare the above symptoms to assess whether they are consistent with this condition.
