Newborn pneumonia typically heals in about 7 days, at which point no other complications have occurred. If accompanied by heart failure, respiratory failure, or other diseases or complications, the course of treatment will be longer, possibly requiring 7-14 days or even longer. Of course, each newborn’s specific situation may also vary due to environmental factors, as well as the sensitivity to medication, individual differences, and overall development.
