Question

My baby is bottle-fed and has not undergone any lifting head training two months ago. After being reminded, the baby was able to lift its head to 45 degrees and maintain it for a while in just two days of training. What age do babies typically reach when they can roll over on their own?

Answer

When your baby reaches 6 months old, their body parts have gradually matured and they begin to exhibit some reflexive movements, showing a desire to ‘roll over’. Therefore, you don’t need to worry too much. Moreover, the lifting head training you’ve done previously has also been beneficial for your baby’s ability to roll over. Most babies can learn to roll over before they are 6 months old, usually starting training from around 3 or 4 months old is appropriate. If your baby has not shown an interest in rolling over, you can assist them by using some intentional guiding movements to help them learn to roll over.
