Question
How should cerebral palsy patients be treated? My colleague’s child is two years old this year. Due to oxygen deprivation at birth, the child developed cerebral palsy. Now, the child cannot walk and is unstable on their feet. Their intelligence is significantly lower than that of their same age peers. Many treatment methods have been tried but have not been effective. How should cerebral palsy patients be treated?
Answer
Cerebral palsy children have a variety of abnormal postures. Many children with cerebral palsy walk with a swayback, resembling a little duck. This gait is referred to as a “shaky gait.” For cerebral palsy patients, varying degrees of brain damage lead to limb paralysis.
