Question

What is the normal range of neonatal jaundice?

Answer

It is common for newborns to experience jaundice again. The normal range for neonatal jaundice is generally not exceeding 12mg/dl for full-term infants and not exceeding 15mg/dl for premature infants. Physiological jaundice will disappear naturally, and breastfeeding jaundice can be resolved by temporarily stopping breastfeeding. Pathological jaundice requires timely treatment to avoid delaying the condition. Patients should develop good daily habits, maintain a regular lifestyle, avoid smoking and drinking, and increase daily exercise to enhance immunity and prevent recurrence of the condition.
