My baby is eight months old and had a high fever a few days ago. She doesn’t have a fever tonight, but there are many small red dots on her chest and back. What’s going on?

It could be an acute childhood rash. Rashes may appear after the fever subsides, usually resolving within 1-2 days and leaving no scars. The rash may be accompanied by swollen lymph nodes, but there will be no tenderness, and they will gradually fading in a few weeks.
