Question

My daughter is 10 years old and has difficulty concentrating in class. She enters a learning state slowly and struggles to keep up with the pace. How can I address my child’s lack of focus in class?

Answer

  1. Allow the child to complete practice tasks in stages within a specified time frame. If the child can focus and complete the tasks successfully, parents should provide some encouragement (praise, gentle touch, kisses, etc.) and allow them to rest for 5-10 minutes. Then, proceed with the same method to successfully complete the next set of exercises. When the child performs well, gradually extend the time they can concentrate on tasks at one time.
  2. Suggest that the child underline suggestions and conditions of the questions themselves while reading them to prevent distractions and mistakes. These methods can boost the child’s confidence and make them feel “I can concentrate on one thing consciously.”
