Question
I am a new mother. How can I determine if my baby has finished eating one side of the breast milk?
Answer
During breastfeeding, it’s not necessary to be overly concerned about the feeding time. You can start by choosing one breast to feed your baby until the baby releases the nipple or falls asleep while suckling. If the baby falls asleep after just a few sips, you can gently massage or squeeze the breast to stimulate the baby to continue suckling. If the baby wants more after finishing one side, you can then offer the other breast. For the next feeding, start with the same method on the other side of the breast.
