Question
A four-year-old boy keeps wetting the bed at night and sometimes his pants. Lately, our little one has been having accidents frequently, and when we ask her when she peed, she says “I don’t know.” It’s really frustrating, especially since he’s already five years old.
Answer
Bedwetting in children and adults over 18 who urinate unintentionally during sleep is known as nocturnal enuresis or bedwetting. Bedwetting has a family tendency, but Western medicine has not yet found genetic evidence for this. Information on the frequency of urination during the day, the urgency of urination, the amount of urine each time, and the occurrence of bedwetting at night are all important to understand. We believe there is no direct relationship between hidden spinal bifida(spina bifida) and enuresis. Although a few individuals with hidden spinal bifida may have bedwetting symptoms, most have no symptoms and do not require treatment. Bedwetting does not affect health. Nighttime bladder training can be done by waking up frequently and drinking a large amount of water.
