What is the normal physiological range for neonatal jaundice?

Physiological jaundice is caused by the metabolic characteristics of bilirubin in children’s bodies. Approximately 50% to 60% of full-term infants and 80% of premature infants will experience physiological jaundice. Its characteristics include: (1) generally in good condition; (2) jaundice usually appears 4 to 5 days after birth, reaches its peak 4 to 5 days later, and resolves between 5 to 7 days, with the latest not exceeding 2 weeks; for premature infants, jaundice appears 3 to 5 days after birth, reaches its peak 5 to 7 days later, and resolves between 7 to 9 days.
