Question

What are the possible clinical symptoms once a child develops tonsillitis?

Answer

Many children may experience recurrent tonsillitis, with symptoms relatively easy to detect. Most children will experience throat pain, accompanied by fever ranging from mild to as high as 39-40 degrees Celsius. During fever, children may also experience headaches, body aches, and shivering. Additionally, due to the congestion of the pharyngeal mucosa, the child’s tonsils may swell. A few children may develop complications such as asthma, sepsis, and nephritis. It is recommended that parents take their children to a doctor for early treatment to avoid the deterioration of the condition and unnecessary harm.
