Question

My baby is almost four years old and has been frequently wetting the diaper since March this year, only a little bit each time, about the size of her palm. I suspect it might be an enuresis issue. What should I do, experts?

Answer

  1. For treating urinary tract infections, if a doctor examines the child and finds a urinary tract infection, antibiotics should be used immediately to control the infection.
  2. For cases where the child’s bladder capacity is found to be smaller, bladder function training should be conducted: Encourage the child to drink more water during the day and extend the interval between urinations as much as possible. Encourage the child to interrupt urination during midstream, count from 1 to 10, and then finish urinating. This will improve the control ability of the bladder sphincter and gradually increase bladder capacity.
