Question
My child has ADHD. I recently took him to see a doctor, and the doctor said he needs to take medication. Can the medication improve his condition?
Answer
Inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity are common symptoms of ADHD. Appropriate education and management are crucial in both the home and school settings. Patience, care, and love are essential when dealing with a child. Discipline should be used to correct their bad behavior and rule-breaking. Encouragement and rewards should be given when the child achieves success in behavioral therapy. Mental pressure or corporal punishment should not be applied. Currently, I recommend actively treating according to the doctor’s advice, as medication is often an effective method.
