Question

Doctor, this is my recent ultrasound report. Our hospital says I have a high risk of preterm labor and may need a cesarean section. Is a cesarean section risky?

Answer

Based on your examination results, the amniotic fluid level is already very low, indicating a high risk of fetal hypoxia. At the same time, a placenta previa may lead to vaginal bleeding and cause preterm labor. It is recommended to rest well, consider intravenous fluid administration for water intake, and pay attention to fetal movement changes. Abnormal fetal heart rate and difficulty in amniotic fluid supplementation may require a cesarean section. Rest more and eat fewer spicy foods.
