Question

I’ve noticed that my child’s limbs are a bit uncoordinated. Does this mean they are ill? Do I need to take them to the hospital for treatment? What should I do?

Answer

If your child’s movements are uncoordinated, the first consideration should be the development of the cerebellum. It is recommended to visit a regular pediatric department in the hospital for relevant examinations and undergo a brain CT scan to rule out cerebellar development issues. Uncoordinated movements are mainly reflected in cycling activities. If your child is learning to ride a bicycle at the same time as their peers and it’s not a bad coordination, but rather an issue of personal balance, it is not a disease. They can gradually master the movements. Additionally, leg pain in children may be caused by calcium deficiency, and calcium should be supplemented appropriately.
