Question
Is bedwetting in children associated with certain specific diseases?
Answer
Bedwetting in children can be caused by various factors, some of which may be related to genetics. However, pathological factors can also lead to this condition, such as pinworms, urinary tract infections, kidney diseases, regional inflammation of the urethral orifice area, spina bifida, spinal cord injury, sacral nerve dysfunction, epilepsy, incomplete brain development, and small bladder capacity. Nevertheless, the proportion of bedwetting caused by diseases is relatively small.
