Question
Is it possible for a 4-year-old child to have ADHD? He is very mischievous, cannot sit still for a moment, and has difficulty concentrating, with the main issue being his temper.
Answer
The symptoms of childhood ADHD include frequently disturbing others’ activities (such as interrupting conversations or classes), climbing, impulsive behavior, irritability, mood instability, and impatience. In severe cases, there may also be resistance and aggressive behavior. If children with ADHD do not receive timely correction and treatment, they may exhibit rebellious behavior during adolescence, increasing the risk of conduct disorders, crime, and accidents. After adulthood, these children are less likely to receive university education, more prone to dropping out of school, unemployment, traffic accidents, and marital problems. Additionally, depression and antisocial personality disorders may arise.
