Question

My baby is five months old, and I recently started introducing solid foods. I add one new type at a time, once a day, and the amount is 4-5 days each time, with very small portions. However, no matter what I add, my baby has diarrhea, with smelly stools and bubbles. Shouldn’t this be considered dyspepsia? How should I go about adding solid foods? Please help me, and let me know how I should proceed with introducing solid foods.

Answer

If your five-month-old baby develops diarrhea after introducing solid foods, this may be due to the baby’s underdeveloped gastrointestinal function or the introduction of solid foods too quickly or in too large quantities. If your baby is currently experiencing diarrhea, try reducing the amount of solid food introduced and consider administering digestive aids for adjustment to improve your baby’s condition.
