The early symptoms and signs of pediatric cerebral palsy include body softness, weakness or rigidity in the limbs; difficulty in initiating steps, angular gait, reduced movement, or excessive restlessness; weak sucking, difficulty in swallowing or frequent choking during feeding, and vomiting; the baby’s mouth cannot close well, weak or explosive crying sounds; at 2-3 months old, the baby does not smile, lift their head, continues to cry, fingers are tightly clenched, and they do not open their hands; at 4-5 months old, the baby does not roll over; at 8 months old, the baby cannot sit up, let alone grasp or hold things, nor put their hand in their mouth. Additionally, the intellectual development of children with pediatric cerebral palsy may also lag behind that of normally developing children of the same age.
