Question

My child was not acting normally when he was born, drinking milk. I didn’t know if he was sick. He doesn’t cry much and doesn’t fuss. He has weak suckling and difficulty swallowing. His mouth closure is poor. We were diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Now the symptoms are becoming more apparent. We are currently on medication. What types of cerebral palsy are there?

Answer

Cerebral palsy is primarily caused by brain neuron damage and necrosis due to hypoxemia or ischemia before and after birth, so the treatment for cerebral palsy is mainly aimed at repairing and regenerating the damaged brain neuron cells, thereby fundamentally treating the condition. The early symptoms of childhood cerebral palsy vary due to different causes and classifications, but the early symptoms of cerebral palsy appear in the upper part of children (within 6 months). The body is soft, spontaneous movement decreases, and the body feels tired. These are symptoms of muscle hypertension, which can be seen within a month. If it persists for more than 4 months, you can diagnose it as cerebral palsy.
