Question
My baby is four years old and has a mild second-degree burn. The condition has been for more than 20 days now. The scabs have fallen off, but the area is still red. How should I remove the redness? Should I continue using Medicated Burn Ointment or switch to Aloe Vera Gel? How should I treat a child’s mild second-degree burn?
Answer
Burns are generally categorized into three degrees, with mild second-degree burns not leaving scars. Maintaining good hygiene and regular cleaning and disinfection can prevent infection. Use iodine tincture for regional burn debridement and combine with topical medications. Keep a light diet, avoid spicy and stimulating foods, and pay attention to rest. Anti-inflammatory medication can be used if necessary.
