Question

My baby is almost four years old and has been frequently wetting their diapers since March this year, after getting sick. However, each time only a little bit of urine is wet, about the size of her palm. I suspect it might be an enuresis issue. What should I do, experts?

Answer

  1. Treatment for Urinary Tract Infection: If a doctor examines your child and finds they have a urinary tract infection, antibiotics should be used immediately to control the infection.
  2. Expanding Bladder Capacity: If it is found that your child has a smaller bladder capacity, bladder function training should be conducted. Encourage your child to drink more water during the day and try to extend the interval between urinations. Encourage the child to interrupt urination in the middle, count from 1 to 10, and then finish urinating completely to improve the control ability of the bladder sphincter muscles, thereby gradually increasing bladder capacity.
