Questions

What are the treatment methods for baby asphyxia? As a postpartum woman, what should I do to prevent this from happening? What should I be aware of on a daily basis? How should baby asphyxia be handled?

Answers

Infant asphyxia is a condition characterized by hypoxemia, hypercapnia, and acidosis, which may be caused by various prenatal, intrapartum, or postpartum hypoxic reasons, or by respiratory circulation disorder during the birthing process. Newborns are unable to breathe autonomously or establish normal breathing within one minute after birth. The primary treatment is oxygen support therapy, including nasal oxygen therapy, face mask oxygen supply, and even the use of ventilators to assist with breathing.
