Question
What causes pediatric asthma?
Answer
Asthma is a chronic airway inflammatory condition caused by various different cytokines. Patients may experience symptoms such as wheezing, difficulty breathing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath, often occurring at night or in the early morning. The main causes of asthma recurrence include exposure to allergens such as dust mites, dust, flour, pollen, air pollution, smoking, and respiratory tract inflammatory infections. Current treatment methods mainly include removing triggers and medication therapy, such as desensitization therapy and anti-inflammatory drugs.
