Question

My child is a 7-year-old boy, and he’s been feeling a bit off lately. What should I do if my baby has herpangina with recurring fever?

Answer

It could be a viral infection, so even high-end antibiotics may not be very effective. In such cases, it’s normal for the fever to last for 3-5 days. As long as the child is in good spirits, symptomatic treatment can be sufficient. Now, it’s advisable to take some cold medicine, three times a day, even when there’s no fever. Additionally, patients should maintain a regulated diet, regular work and rest (rest and activity), adjust mental and physical health, keep a positive mood in life, and eat more light, soft foods. Also, drink plenty of water and consume more vegetables and fruits.
