Question

My 8-week-old baby has been feeling unwell recently, and I just found out that they are sick. How can I alleviate my baby’s cold and cough?

Answer

The white blood cells have improved, indicating that the treatment is effective. Whether or not to change medication mainly depends on the cough. Once the cough improves, there’s no need to worry about it. As for the medicine to stop sweating, I don’t think it’s necessary. My baby sweats a lot during their afternoon nap, so the first thing to consider is calcium supplementation, not using those things. It won’t be effective in just a few days. There’s no need to change medication for the cough; once your child recovers, the sweating will gradually improve as well. I still don’t recommend taking that medicine; generally, such conditions require a treatment course of 7-10 days. Nebulization is the way to go; it’s effective with minimal side effects. As for the medication you’re currently using, there won’t be much impact in two or three weeks, so there’s no need to worry too much about it.
