Question

At 15 weeks, I wasn’t sure what the situation would be, but later found out that my baby was sick. Please ask: What should I do if my baby is one month old and still has jaundice?

Answer

Jaundice in newborns commonly persists for a while, with a few even taking up to 10 weeks to fade. This is known as breastmilk jaundice, and as long as it’s carefully checked and there are no issues, it’s fine. Physiological jaundice will gradually disappear on its own, so there’s no need to worry too much. Avoid any psychological stress, maintain a cheerful mood, and during this period, make sure to get plenty of rest. Also, keep your diet light and avoid greasy and spicy foods, which is beneficial for both you and your baby in the womb.
