Question

What are the effective and convenient methods for treating amblyopia?

Answer

Amblyopia often occurs in children, resulting from reduced vision due to abnormal visual experiences. It generally includes conditions such as strabismic amblyopia, organic amblyopia, and amblyopic eye. Treatment options include medication and surgery. Personally, I believe that the most effective and convenient method is surgery. Medication treatment, in addition to implementing training treatments such as occlusion therapy and afterimage therapy, is slow, and the optimal treatment time is between 5 to 6 years old. Treatment at 8 years old is not ideal, so it is recommended to start treatment as soon as possible.
