Amblyopia is a developmental eye disease, and the treatment process essentially focuses on enhancing visual growth and development, making it a relatively long-term process. Some clinical diagnostic trials by scholars have shown that on average, it takes about 16 months for amblyopia to alleviate. For those with mild cases, relief may occur within a few months; however, for severe cases or children who are unable to actively cooperate with medical treatment, the time needed for relief can be longer, ranging from 2 to 3 years, or even up to 5 to 6 years, with some cases being incurable. As long as the child, parents, and doctors work together actively, amblyopia can be relieved within an appropriate timeframe.
