Question

I’ve been feeling a persistent pain in the upper right quadrant of my abdomen recently, and I often feel like vomiting. It was only after a check-up that I discovered I had liver hemangioma. Although I’ve undergone some treatments, I still want to ask, is liver hemangioma malignant?

Answer

Liver hemangioma is a benign tumor. Most patients do not experience any significant discomfort and there is no evidence of malignant transformation. If you are asymptomatic, you can opt for regular follow-ups. If you are currently experiencing frequent pain in the upper right abdomen, as well as nausea and vomiting, you may choose to undergo surgery. The symptoms of hemangioma in the early stages are not prominent, and the impact on the body is generally not significant, making it difficult to detect.
